Need a speaker to inspire and ignite youth and adults alike?
Here's a little about me. I am 14 years old and I've learned that people fear what they don't understand. I want to help bring an end to stigma whether it involves the ocean and what lives in it or the planet and the people who inhabit it.
I am an Ocean Warrior and Stigma Destroyer with a message help through education and awareness.
Stigma surrounds us whether it is about marine animals or people who are "different". I believe there are things we can do and say to eliminate stigma from society. From sharks to health issues like mental illness, stigma keeps people from seeking help. It keeps them suffering in silence. It is time to give a voice to those who feel that stigma has taken away theirs.
Even though I'm young, I've presented at a number of events ranging from audiences of 20 to 3000.
I've spoken at Ignite Charity, TEDxWaterloo Youth, TEDxKitchenerED, Desire2Learn's Mobilize Conference, Ocean Warrior Conservation Awareness, CheerSport Sharks, Count Me In and more. I am an ambassador for AfriOceans Conservation Alliance in Cape Town, South Africa and an international A-Team for Wildlife ambassador. To learn more, please check out these sites: sharkwarrior.com and a-teamforwildlife.org (http://www.a-teamforwildlife.org/international-team/)
I've done radio and television talk shows. Every chance I have to share my message is an opportunity to educate and make a difference. I've been featured in the HBO Series Saving My Tomorrow. In 2014, I was nominated in the youth category for Women of Waterloo and was recognized as a "leading girls building communities" award recipient for Waterloo Region.
If you'd like me to speak at your event, please contact me directly. I look forward to hearing from you!
